… the Netherlands – which have been so far the most tax/duty convenient European country to clear customs for Classic Cars.

However,  the tax rates have been adjusted to the level of most other neighbor countries and nowadays the duties are as follows:

The Netherlands:

- Cars 30 years old or older  are subject to 19% Vat Taxes .

-  Cars younger than 30 years are subject to 10% import duties and 19% Vat Taxes .

For those classic car owners, who’s vehicle value is higher and they are older then 40 years , there is an option of clearing them in France for 5.5% Vat Taxes .
